A passion for detail, workmanship, and preserving history.

It took three years for Nick Bruno, our owner and winemaker, to restore his first car. He was 18, and the 1930 Ford Model A Deluxe Coupe was restored and sold to help pay his way through college. Soon thereafter, Nick’s father Louie gained an interest and together their car restoration passion began.

Over the years they restored a multitude of classic cars. The last one they worked on together was the 1931 Packard Model 833 pictured above. When the restoration was almost complete, Louie was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in 2002. Nick’s car passion remains strong, along with the fond memories of restoring classic cars with his father.

The classic cars pictured on Bruno Cellars wine labels are ones that Nick and his father restored together. They serve as a tribute to the loving memory of Louie Bruno.
